Sounds good. I'll be sure to hook you up with anyone I think will be in a position to cover behind-the-scenes. Look forward to hearing when you confirm your credentials.

Certainly, we plan to utilize twitter, flickr, digg, etc… to present a lot of it on one site. So, yes! We'd love to have volunteers, audience members, whomever participating. We are hoping to get credentials though as well to be able to cover behi...

No doubt this will happen as you'll find many tweeters this side of the border. If you've got tickets to any events, twitter away, set up a blog or website and then rest will follow, something like that? Another option would be the thousands of vo...

Audrey— Thanks so much! I'll shoot you a response via email in a bit, but since you've opened this up publicly, I'll take the opportunity to respond here. First and foremost: http://vancouverproject.com/ is something of a mind-dump from Andrew a...

Hi Audrey ... really I think the better resource would be Chris himself since he's the one who started this ... and it was University driven ... if I come across anything though will definitely let you know!

It is so exciting to find someone that has been here in Ethiopia. Thanks Audrey.
Well, I went to St, Joseph's and I am currently working for an English newspaper as a senior editor and online editor too.

I am glad to have met you here.

Hello one and all. When I think of a newsroom, I think of the small community paper where I worked at my first job. We sat at old wooden desks each about four feet apart where we could toss papers without getting up and chat and listen in on everything is we typed and conducted phone interviews. It was open space and we shared a lot! Now, the technology's fancier and the desks are sleeker, but I believe the best newsrooms are still the same - keep within eye and earshot for best production!

Hey! Thanks for registering. We're officially going live next week with this.

That said, I have 2 favors to ask. I'd love for you to start blogging about your newsroom there. You should have your own blog as part of your "my page." Anything about changes, new media, new initiatives, etc.

Also, you can create a "group" for you newsroom. Click the newsroom tab up top. It's fairly easy.

And thanks for all your help!

Vancouver Project

I've just sent Joey an email to see if I can assist as I am located in the Vancouver area and have a contact at CBC Vancouver. First I need translation! I skim read his blurb and I'm not as fluent in this type of technology to be honest, I'm a learner! As one of the first members of Next Newsroom, it's been fun to see it grow and if I can help a good project, great - if so, will update on that of course. If I can track down contacts here, just let me know where to start.

Former restroom becomes newsroom

Trinity Western University's student newspaper, Mars' Hill, (named after the place where Greeks and Romans waxed eloquent in past centuries), is a biweekly for a student population of approximately 4,000. The newsroom is located in a former dorm and the staff was appalled to find out their space held the toilets, showers and washbasins in the old days. How would I know? It was my dorm decades ago. Sounds crazy, but it's really OK now and answers for the high windows along the t
